Tip on : Honolulu - 5 years ago
Lived in Honolulu for a few years after college. Absolutely beautiful weather every day, year round. Despite being surrounded by water it is rarely humid. Nice dry weather. If you love seafood try Todai's on Ala Moana Blvd. It's all you can eat sushi. Love it! Try some other local favs such as lomi salmon and lau lau. Ask for the Kaimaaina (local) price. If you're visiting you must stay at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Nice resort with shops and restaurants, and right on the beach. You don't ever have to leave but you should since the island has so much to see and do. Tip: Waves on the south shore i.e. Waikiki, Diamond Head area, are weaker. If you love to surf better head on to the north shore i.e. Waimea Bay. Mahalo!
