The Hilton Garden Inn is new (well, purchased and completely renovated). The staff is very friendly and helpful and the guests all seem to be in sync. Newly opened: just past the next-door (almost simese twin attached) La Quinta is a brand new beach bar, one of only three left on South Padre, due to the takeover of big developers pushing out the little guys. If you're there, go give the young men your financial support and enjoy a cool beer on the beach. Hilton Garden Inn: best Bloody Mary. Ask for Tony at the bar.
