Vinales is one of the more touristy places in Cuba. Be sure to ask for the prices before going on activities. A 45 min evening walk in a finca (farm) cost us 15 CUC (about USD17) each!

Be sure to go horseback riding (5 CUC per hour) and visit Cuevas Santo Tomas, the 2nd largest cave system in the Americas

It's stinking hot! If your travelling over there. DO NOT bring alcohol with you or magazine showing part of womens body, Christmas music or religious stuff like a cross. My friend was thrown in jail because he had Christmas music in his suit case!!! Do what they say. No room for negociation. Be prepare to receive proposal to buy your wife or girlfriend. I know someone that was offered camels and gold for his wife. He just flip mad when he was told no.

For cheap places to stay there are usually people around the train station offering rooms in private houses. You have to go to Wawel (pronounced Vavel) Castle. Some say this is the heart of Poland and it is the past seat of Polish Kings. There is also a Smok (Dragon) that lives in the tunnel underneath the castle. Two day trips you have to make are 1. Oswiencim (Aushwitz). You can take a train from the center of Krakow, to within a couple of hundred meters of the front gates. You cannot miss this testament to the horrors of the Nazis and genocide. 2. Wielizcka salt mines. This is another trip possible by the efficient Polish railway system. These salt mines have been in service for hundreds of years and are now a Unesco world heritage site. As the miners took the salt out they carved statues and even a cathedral into the caves. Really amazing. Don't forget to listen to the trumpter in the main square and to have a great time. Krakow is fantastic!

This is a barren and abandoned old whaling station...the wildlife is not usually scared of humans and you can get some really good photo opportunities..except the reindeer..can't get near them....very cold too....

If you get a chance make a sunset river cruise from Kasane. The sight of elephants bathing in the river while the sunset will be one you'll never forget!

Gizah, or Giza or however you want to spell it is one of the oldest tourist destinations in the world. Home of the Great Pyramids of Giza. When I visited, I went in the late afternoon (mostly because we couldn't get directions...no one seemed to know where the pyramids were and how to get to them), but the setting sun was amazing against the pyramids. Taxis are overflowing as are souvenir shops. They're selling exactly what you're looking for. Don't believe me? Just ask them and they'll tell you the same thing.

Top tip - pop into the tourist office and pick up a 'walking map' of Copenhagen. Gives you a wonderful walking tour of Copenhagen and you can choose how long a route to take which brings you past all the important landmarks and out of the main high streets. Otherwise spend the day in Tivoli, one of the best theme parks in the world!

When arriving at the Hong Kong Airport do not take a plain clothes (non certified) taxi. The normal taxis are much cheaper and do not try to rip you off. The plain clothes taxi guys are only trying to find gullible tourists to charge non-chines prices.

Get a 3 day pass to the Temples of Angkor and explore history! Take a break in between.
