Wear gloves. ALWAYS wear gloves. Unless your eating at an actual eating establishment WEAR YOUR GLOVES. Trust me, nasty diseases and whatnot lurk. The local markets are a good source for small cheap relics going all the way back to the days of Alexzander the Great. Remember that they do not have traffic laws. 4 deep on a two-lane is not uncommon. And if your one of the chosen to drive in convoys, never, EVER let anyone cut in between or pass. But you probably already know that. Go to the French camps for wine, German Camps for liquor, and American camps for food. Unless you like curry with every meal. Oh, and shop around for a good tailor, you can get some pimp suits for 40 or so dollars. WASH YOUR HANDS

If you're going to Afg. I wouldn't suggest going alone might ne a good idea to bring someone who served there in the military, we have an idea how things and people are there. When you buy things never settle for the first price they tell you, the 2nd or 3rd is a better idea. the food there will more than likely make you sick a time or 2 but it's typically very good food. Just watch your back and the people around you, don't trust anyone farther than you can throw 'em. Oh and don't let anyone there fool you into a left-handed handshake it's just degrading to you.
