perfect place if you want to escape sydney..the three sisters are just a few minutes walk from there. if you love nature it's the place to be!

Yeh....It's the place to be seen. There is a great buddhist temple. Then You can see a beautifull Three sisters (tripple mountains). A green place to be in mid of Springs.

Don't bother getting the bus ride to the various places in the area. Walking around is easy and there are maps and signs to help. Save you spending a ridiculous amount for nothing.

Try breakfast at the Wassy Goose Cafe or Pizza at Terra Firma.

i would advise you to trek down from Blue mountains. it is really great

One of the most painfully touristy towns I've ever seen! Too bad, as the natural assets of the surrounding area are so beautiful and ruined with all the capitalization. The food is not that great and horribly overpriced, and the "Scenic World" is a complete waste of time because they cram way too many people into each "ride" and you therefore have no chance of enjoying yourself or even getting a decent picture. Stay in Sydney for an extra day instead.

You should have a very good plan orientation programm before going for bushwalks, hiking etc.

If you ever get the chance to visit Katoomba, don't forget to check out the Three Sisters. The most beautiful rocks you've ever seen.

Bring your hiking boots. There's some great walks about Scenic World which is a must visit. You couldn't keep me off the Worlds Steepest Railway - loved it.
