    Burwood, New South Wales, Australia
I have been told that it is a bit of a dodgy area but it seemed fine when I was there. There is good gelato and a good sushi train, and it is one of the places you can catch the public bus to the airport if you want to unite against the evils of the $14 extra charge at Sydney airport just to leave the train station.

    Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
You have to go to Sydney at least once in your lifetime. It's definitely a place to see before you die. Relax at Circular Quay in one of the many street cafés, shop in the Queen Victoria building and go on a bridge climb. If you're not afraid of heights, it's something you shouldn't miss. It is certainly not cheap, but if you choose the climb at sunset, the view and the whole experience will be so rewarding. For those who are interested in music, buy yourself a ticket for a concert at the opera house. On a beautiful day (there will be plenty of them!), take the ferry to Manly and lie on the beach. Go to the Rocks and stroll through the shops. It's been 6 years since I last was there but I will go again in July 2008 and update you then! See ya

    Cooma, New South Wales, Australia
Activities in Cooma vary from just simply walking around enjoying the country scenery and air, to travelling less than one hour to the snow fields. Due to the country nature and recently dry environment snakes and lizards are plenty. Food and restaurants are sufficient for you to stop by and enjoy a nice meal, mainly in the form of take away. General impressions of the place are that it is a country town with not much going on, however behind the scenes the locals are having a lot of fun! I'm not sure about hotels and accommodation there, but I know that it is a relatively small place with only about 12,000 people. This means that most people know each other which can make it hard to fit in, however if you are holidaying it is a lovely place. Nightlife is generally non-existent due to the cold weather, so bring your warm gear for 9 months of the year. Transportation is generally done by car because there is a lack of public transport.

The Glebe, New South Wales, Australia
The best coffee in Sydney is at the Fair Trade Coffee Company on Glebe Point Road- only a couple blocks off Broadway Street -you can see the back of it from the pedestrian ramp into Broadway Mall. Also, the restaurant accross the street from the backpackers almost at the very end of Glebe Pt Road has the friendliest lady working there. We asked for directions, not even customers, and she walked us 2 blocks down the street to show us where to go. Couldn't believe how nice she was.

    Armidale, New South Wales, Australia
The Catholic cathedral is the largest Armidale has to offer. Worth a look-see, in any case. The pedestrian mall is a great place for lunch, especially if there's a busker.

Potts Point, New South Wales, Australia
Walk to the end of Victoria Street for a park with a great view, OR for my favourite view, walk just past the last shops and look to the side of the street nearer the waterfront and city skyline. There should be an apartment complex with a street sign pointing down the path between the connected building that says there is a staircase there. Walk through and it feels like you are trespassing even though you are not, and you can slowly see a view appearing. Go down the first flight of steps and you come to a comprehensive view of the Sydney Skyline (one of my fave views.) Follow the staircase down and it takes you to Wooloomooloo. You can walk along the waterfront which will take you to Hyde Park. Either follow the coast line for Harbour Views and end up at the Opera House, or cut through the Botanical Gardens following the signs for the Palm Gardens and you will find where thousands of Sydney bats sleep during the day. Keep going following signs to the Yurong Precinct and you will end up at the Opera House. Victoria Street in Pott's Point is lined with backpackers hostels. Except at Christmas and New Years, you should have no trouble finding accomodation there. (Between $18 and $30 per night for a dorm bed.) Roy's Famous Cafe has rude service, don't bother. Nearest Train Station is Kings Cross, or take bus 324
