Well i got stranded there for 2 weeks, and got annoyed with it there. when i finally come to the day of leaving i had to pay $1500 on my bloody jeep. Gutted.

I loved the Alice more than I expected. The highlight for me was the helicopter ride...DO IT!!

Great craic, well worth going to see Uluru. If you are staying in Alice be carelful where you book....

The red heart of Australia, nothing to see except those drunken' aboriginals. It's better to leave it behind travel directly to Ayers Rock !!

Remember to keep the warm clothes in the suitcase... Its hot like hell.. Enjoy a cold beer and go breakdance in the city of party

I wouldn't choose to spend a lot of time in Alice Springs! I spend 2 days there and it wasn't a city for me... I used the city as a starting point for going to Uluru.. But if you find yourself stuck there go see the Baby kangaroo resque center! The Joey's are worth it and please donate money to help the center continue their work!

Good for getting the outback feeling if you do an outback safari from here. Good for backpackers passing through.

Definately do a camping trip to Uluru. Besides the sunset and sunrise with its amazing colour changes you get to see a 180 degree night sky full of stars, something I will remember for the rest of my life. If you are lucky you will even hear a dingo howling somewhere out there...

A cool town but very hot in Summer. A little saying is that if the Todd River fills up 3 times whilst staying there you are considered a local.
Great food you can get any thing to eat from Crocodile to Kangaroo or even camel
You have to visit this lovely town
