    Beerwah, Queensland, Australia
Australia Zoo in Beerwah is well worth a visit. The animal enclosures are beautifully done and you can even book your own animal encounters. Just make sure you book early enough as they are very popular. On their website you can also book a transfer from Brisbane.

    Burwood, New South Wales, Australia
I have been told that it is a bit of a dodgy area but it seemed fine when I was there. There is good gelato and a good sushi train, and it is one of the places you can catch the public bus to the airport if you want to unite against the evils of the $14 extra charge at Sydney airport just to leave the train station.

    Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
You have to go to Sydney at least once in your lifetime. It's definitely a place to see before you die. Relax at Circular Quay in one of the many street cafés, shop in the Queen Victoria building and go on a bridge climb. If you're not afraid of heights, it's something you shouldn't miss. It is certainly not cheap, but if you choose the climb at sunset, the view and the whole experience will be so rewarding. For those who are interested in music, buy yourself a ticket for a concert at the opera house. On a beautiful day (there will be plenty of them!), take the ferry to Manly and lie on the beach. Go to the Rocks and stroll through the shops. It's been 6 years since I last was there but I will go again in July 2008 and update you then! See ya

    Cooma, New South Wales, Australia
Activities in Cooma vary from just simply walking around enjoying the country scenery and air, to travelling less than one hour to the snow fields. Due to the country nature and recently dry environment snakes and lizards are plenty. Food and restaurants are sufficient for you to stop by and enjoy a nice meal, mainly in the form of take away. General impressions of the place are that it is a country town with not much going on, however behind the scenes the locals are having a lot of fun! I'm not sure about hotels and accommodation there, but I know that it is a relatively small place with only about 12,000 people. This means that most people know each other which can make it hard to fit in, however if you are holidaying it is a lovely place. Nightlife is generally non-existent due to the cold weather, so bring your warm gear for 9 months of the year. Transportation is generally done by car because there is a lack of public transport.
