Great shopping at the Mariahilferstraße!

I always go to Hotel Sacher for the famous Sacher cake, the Schoenbrunn castle for a walk or a visit to the zoo.Relax in Wien's parks, and yeah, there's also the Prater.

Try the wiener schnitzel! It's tasty and thin.

Vienna is a beautiful city, especially in the Spring. Be sure to check out the museum quarter. However, it can be a bit pricey if you're on a shoestring; Bratislava is only an hour away on the train and is generally much cheaper. Planned properly, you can save a bit of money. If you're traveling to or from another city, catch the last train and stay in Slovakia for the night.

Great architecture, nice hostels, but far too expensive compared to more easterly neighbors.
