Buy a bus ticket for one or more days to get you around to all the sights! walking is not really an option. However, do get out in one of the neighbourhoods around the center to get the real feel of Wien!

if you want to interact with locals and you are a fan of good alternative music, then take the U6(underground) and take off at "Thaliastraße". Not far there is a club called "chelsea" with good music and fine people.

Don't forget to go a here a live performance in the opera. Walk in the park and visit the main church in the main square. Really important: the best place to stay is the wombats hostel . Don't try other hostels, this is the best, very friendly, fool of life, relatively cheap, and close to the center.
