In addition to being the diamond capitol of the world, Antwerp has some wonderful museums.  The Museum of Photography and Rubenshuis are just two of the must sees.  Not to mention, Antwerp's location makes it an ideal jumping off point for Amsterdam, Gent, and Brugges.  Once in Antwerp, it you look for the charm, you'll find it.

The best place in Antwerpen is 'Lombardia' the interior is crazy, and so are the sandwices and juices. It has amazing coffee and the food is both delicious and expensive, but it's worth it!!

Tip for Antwerp, Belgium AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS

Antwerpen is a little misunderstood...you need to scratch the surface a little. Definitely visit Vlaamsekaai, the surrounding bars, cafes, and shops down the side streets are definitely little gems in an otherwise dirty and always under construction city.

by tonnage it is second biggest port in Europe, next to Rotterdam!!

The Diamond Museum is interesting. It shows how much work (and destruction) goes into mining diamonds.
