In the folkloric museum 'Het Huis Van Alijn' you dive into the history of Belgian traditions. An astonishing collection!

Ghent is my city of dreams. it is a student city and it haves so many parties. You can find cheap and very delicious turkish restaurant at the 'sleepstraat' it is around 4,50€ for one pizza with a salad, and believe me, you will not finish your plate! they put so much pizza on your plate, you will hardly finish it. to interact with the locals, go to brown pubs, ghent haves so many fancy bars. Beer is cheap in Belgium. (around 1,80€) gay and lesbians, they have plenty off bars for you! we have 'use it' that's the touristdesk for young alternative people. you can get free maps there. but also tips where to go. night life: go to overpoort for more commercial stuff, go to the 'vlasmarkt' for alternative bars.

Ghent is a beautifull city with lots of nice places to relax during the day and to party during the night!. During the day you can find loads of people at the Graslei or Korenlei. A very charming places by the water with lots of cosy terraces. At night I can recommend 'The Culture Club' Afrikalaan 172 for a huge party. This is a well-known party-place in Ghent and Belgium. Have fun

Gent is even prettier by night when the whole center is illuminated.

Gent is one of the most beautiful place in the world for me. It offers a great landscape and beautifl old buildings as if it brings you back to the past where this building was built... Located half hour by train from brussels. it is a nice place to walk and enjoy the beauty of the city....you can sit in many terrace cafe which offering a nice and tasty belgium beers...hhmmm, excellent place to go...
