    Bruges, West-Vlaanderen Region, Belgium
The best bars are the ones that look like you are walking into a cellar. Go in with a few friends, order a random beer (your selection based entirely on the beers funny name) and just sit back, relax and enjoy the increasingly blurry ambience.

    Bruges, West-Vlaanderen Region, Belgium
When u're in Brugge on a budget, go for a beer between 5 and 6 pm (= happy hour, beers are only 1 euro; the bar stays open untill 12 pm) in a very cosey place called "'t Opkikkertje". Sit at the bar, have a chitchat with the locals, play kicker or darts, try a very good spaghetti for only 5 euro (believe me, it's nowhere cheaper and you won't leave hungry!) I'm sure you 'll love it! It's the best hidden treasure of Brugge, you can find it in West-gistelhof 13, on a ten minutes walk from the marketsquare.

    Kortrijk, West-Vlaanderen Region, Belgium
Kortrijk is a small yet lovely provincial town in West-Flanders (Belgium). Over the last few years, it's been mainly known for its construction sites (the major wants to leave his mark on the city by building design bridges, design buildings and all other things design. It's not as touristic as Bruges, but who looks good, will find some excellent budget restaurants and pittoresque museums. he rock scene in Kortrijk has really flourished over the last few years, with bands like Goose, Amen Ra, Hitch, Galatasaray and Ozark Henry. The ciy of Kortrijk spends a lot of money on cultural activities: check the Buda Island and the Buda Kunstencentrum, which has its own movie theatre, the Budascoop.
