    Varna, Black Sea Coast, Bulgaria
Varna is a nice city to visit. The beaches there are really awesome to visit!! You can rent appartments, go to resorts or hotels. The beaches are nice and it is generally warm enough to swim in. For history lovers, there are museums with lots of remains of the Thracians. This is a lovely city to go!!!

Rilski Manastir, Sofia & Surrounding Region, Bulgaria
This is one of the most beautiful Eastern Orthodox Monasteries you can think of, and is considered one of the top 5 attractions in Bulgaria. There are some risks however. Forget about sleeping there unless you have a tent and don't mind moving a couple of kilometers up in the mountain to pitch it. There is a hotel next to the monastery but it is the very symbol of misery, run by a gang of total jerks (sorry). You may get some small stomach problems if you deside to try the famous local combination of mekitsi and boza (the formar is food, the later is a drink). It is indeed an incredibly tasty thing byt the mekici are fried and if you have a sensitive stomach...

    Dospat, Southern Bulgaria, Bulgaria
Nice place. The greatest attraction is the Dospat Dam which is 17 km in length and at places 3 km wide. It is surrounded by tall mountains. The bus connections are poor. No rail road. Hotels are small, family owned and cheap.

    Blagoevgrad, Southern Bulgaria, Bulgaria
The best city on Earth that I've visited. Lived for five years there. Hot girls, low prices, nice clubs, relatively good infrastructure, good weather and a lot of things to do. It is especially nice during the spring and autumn. The city hosts several elite secondary schools, as well as, the largest university in Southwest Bulgaria and the only American university in Southeast Europe. Actually the students run the city.

    Shumen, Northern Bulgaria, Bulgaria
Must-see: "Founders of the Bulgarian state" monumental complex. It was opened on 28.11.1981 in order to commemorate 1300 years since the state of Bulgaria was founded and it re-enacts the best periods of the first Bulgarian kingdom. The monument is made up of huge concrete blocks forming the shape of a lion - symbol of the Bulgarian spirit. It can be seen within a radius of 30 km. There are various sculptures and statues, two of which are 18 metres in height. Here can be found the largest mosaic in the Balkan peninsula, representing the "Golden age" of Bulgaria and accepting Christianity under the reign of khan Simeon.

    Shumen, Northern Bulgaria, Bulgaria
If u r staying on the coast ( Varna or surroundings) that is perfect place for one day trip.

Take a train from Varna – cheapest way.

City is cheep and u can really enjoy it’s slowly life. Visit mosque with minaret. If u can – go up to the hill to Madara’s Rider monument. Good view. The rest of city is not that much interesting. Sleeping there it seems to be waste of time.

Kamen Bryag, Black Sea Coast, Bulgaria
Picturesque area with the spirit of dusty lost site.. It's easy to overlook this amazing place, just going to the more famous and crowded cities - but.. I swear it's worth to turn off the road E87 on local way (parallel to E87) leading to Kawarna and visit Kamen Bryag.
Kamen Bryag is also announced to be archeological reserve, because archeologists found here a Thracian necropolis and prehistoric cave dwellings.
