Best city ever!!! you can ski and swim in the ocean the same day, it's big, but not as big that you feel lost. It's full of nature but also has a modern side. Sometimes you feel new-yorkish, sometimes san-francisco-like...
the whole lifestyle is easy going. You see people walking around in high-quality sport-dresses walking around, with starbucks mugs in their hands. People not stressed the whole time, busdrives say bye and hi and people actually thank bus drivers for stopping at their stations... AND Vancouver has a great film and television industry...I saw the same amount of people running around with cameras on the street like in 2 years of Zürich (well beside of course when I'm part of Filming or TV, since that doesn't count :P)

sooo end of line is...Vancouver is my dream city, which has everything I ever dreamed of...only question is...how will I manage to go there for forever?????

Breakfast Heaven
We didn't get around to trying this place in the evenings, but the breakfasts are great. Proper fresh orange juice and fruit, traditional eggs and bacon plus some imaginative home made offerings that could work as a brunch. Best thing was the service, sharp but very welcoming.

Vancouver has one of the best Chinatowns anyplace - make sure you visit one of the several excellant "dim sum" places in the city. There are several excellant ones to choose from so ask your concierge or look on any number of web sites e.g. http://www.dinehere.ca .

Drive (or better yet, ride a motorcycle) along the bay. Also eat at the Goldfish, great seafood and wonderful atmosphere.

A great thing to visit is the Capilano Suspension Bridge. It's a intresting attraction a bit outside North Vancouver. Standing on the bridge there is an amazing view of the river Capilano and the mountains.
