It's a great get-away from the city because it is quiet and relaxing. Moreover, the Deerhurst Resort is amazing! (a little pricey though) The resort provides a lot of activities at your disposal, such as kayaking, swimming, hiking, as well as night shows indoors. There's a mini beach at one end of the resort which is connected to Lake Peninsula. The overall atmosphere is calm and the staff are friendly.

Take the car from Buffalo, New York. Visit the Niagara Falls and then drive to Canada. On the motorway look acrross Ontario Lake to see the Toronto skyline coming up. The city looks like a scene of a SI FI movie.
