    Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Really nice city with lots of nightlife activities during summer (Festival Juste pour rire, Local Gay Pride, etc).
Corner of St-Catherine Street and St-Denis street is the place to be (really hot and fun).
People is really friendly and from all classes.
Visit Park Mont-Royal, Biodome, Jardin Botanique (if you like flowers), Stade Olympique has nothing special but a great view but a bit expensive...) and if you like attractions go to La Ronde (Ile Saint-Helene).
Finish at night by a dinner near the Vieux-Port (old Montréal) or by a hockey game at the Molson Center ;)

Give yourself two full days in Quebec City. A very affordable destination, public transportation and taxis are cheap, but you probably won't need them as the main train station is a 5 minute walk to the UNESCO heritage site protected old town. Celebrating its 400 year anniversary in 2008, Quebec City is the oldest capital and city on the continent. A beautiful "must see" destination where you will be greeted (even if you don't speak French) with smiles and a people who love having fun.

It's easy to get around in Montreal on the Metro, which is very safe, quick and efficient. If you are planning to catch a bus, remember to go to one of the little booths before you exit from the metro station, to get a bus ticket, so the onward journey is free.

The airport seems to be difficult to access by public transportation but it actually only takes about 50 minutes to get downtown. You do have to make a few transfers though. The first bus at the airport will take you about 5 minutes away to a larger bus stop. At this stop you should transfer to the 211 which will take you to the atwater subway stop. From here you can hop on the subway to just about anywhere in downtown montreal. And it only costs $2.50 (not a $40 cab ride). If you get lost just ask for directions...montrealers are so nice!

The architecture of the city reminds you of a European city. Many things to do. Incorporates both the robustness of a city and the quiet of a town.

With a population of about 3,000 francophones, this beautiful small city by the St. Lawrence river is one of the prettiest place I've been to. Go during summer time to swim in the St.Lawrence river, visit Notre-Dame-des-neiges, and do much more outdoor activities. Perfect place to learn French ( www.myexplore.ca ) Travel with ViaRail
