Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China
Nanjing is a great city! Visit the Sun Yat Sen Mausoleum, Ming Tombs, and Lingu Si Pagoda in Zijin Shan park on the northwestern outskirts of town. Then see the Maoist era Martyr's Memorial Yuhuatai park on its southern outskirts. Wander the budy downtown center and then Fuzi Miao shopping area for what a real Chinatown looks like - lots of tourist tack but it is quite pretty. Great new Metro system to get around on and Nanjing has one of the best train stations in China. Try Nanjing Duck, the local specialty, a pickled/salted alternative to the more famous duck dish from China's northern capital.
