It's a small town, only 7 million ha ha ha (oh I'm lame). You definitely want to have a clear idea of where you are going, or know how to speak mandarin. Without help, I would have been lost for sure.

A very beautiful city and nice people! The Xi'an City Wall make you feel that the city isn't as big as it really is. There are alot good restaurants inside the city wall. You also have to pay a visit at the Muslim Market. Don't hesitate to bargain, cuz the price they'll offer you is twice, sometimes four times as much as the real price! But the atmosphere is so nice, so you just have to love it! It's also worth to walk/cycle on the city wall!

The legendary Terracotta Army is situated in Xi'an

When taking airplane to Xi'an, you will most likely notice that polluted air lays like a lock over the valley, as the area is surrounded by high mountains.

Some people say there's not much to do in Xi'an besides for a trip to partially unearthed terracotta soldiers. I cannot disagree more.
The city wall, temples and drum/bell towers are something I wouldn't mind spending more time with.

Yangrou paomo (羊肉泡馍) is a delicious Muslim dish (yangrou = mutton) for which Xi'an is famous. You tear up a flat bread and put it into your bowl, then the waitress adds the soup. Next, you get to add all the goodies (mostly lots of different vegetables) you've selected, then eat and enjoy!

I ate this at a restaurant near the city wall. It's been a while, and though I don't remember the name, you can ask anyone in Xi'an where to get good yangrou paomo, and they'll steer you in the right direction!

Bring lots of wet tissues, tissues, antibacterial hand wash and toilet papers for convenience!

Don't leave Xi'an without enjoying the dumplings. They are incredible in this City.
