nice beaches better travel between March and Oct as it is warm and lots of activities going on. Qingdao Beer Festival in late August every year, attracting lots people from all over the world. Booking hotel at least 4 months ahead.

Moi qui pensait avoir compris en gros la structure des villes chinoises, je me suis pris une claque en arrivant à Qingdao! Très étrange impression. Déjà aucun vélo, les gens du coin ne savent d'ailleur pas faire de vélo (pour preuve mes amis de là bas), c'est le comble pour des chinois! Une ville "vallonée", pas vraiment de centre ville, il y'a les quartiers des anciens colons allemands (entre autre), la ville un peu 80', et la ville moderne. Beaucoup de coréens. Beaucoup de plages. Un air "pur" (relatif au reste du pays). La fête de la bière annuelle, qui niveau ambiance n'arrive pas à la cheville de celle de Munchen. Non loin les monts laoshan où on peut faire des balades sympas.

Qingdao is an intimate city, its easy to travel around by bus...no matter where you go, each trip is only 2 dollars for a/c bus, 1 dollar for normal bus....

Qingdao is a wonderful experience, especially with good friends. Qingdao is known to be the "little Germany" of China, and I can relate to that!! It's a good idea to go there with a travelguide (especially if you only go for a few days) and to see all the worthwhile things!

The amazing this about Qingdao is that there's actually a little beach where the Chinese (very dressed) go sunbathing. On top of that, the most famous beer drunk in China is brewed here. Tsintao. Funny thing is that the town was owned by Germany. They got the beer brewery from them :)

qingdao is a really modern chinese city. it was first built as a german colony. it is home of tsingtao beer and it also has many nice beaches.

Try the beer on the street. Yes, you buy it by weight and they put it in a plastic shopping bag, but it's a must. There isn't anything like the unpasteurized beer you can buy in the city.

Pretty impressive!!! Although it is not so rich as my hometown---Shenyang, it is a coastal city!

Don't ever call yourself a man if you haven't tried Tsingtao Beer, that's so true about this city representing both modern and old scent. My uncle and aunt are living there, maybe they are more sophisticated in tourism. I don't know...
