Very beautiful place with nice people. Most of them are either locals or croatian tourists, but you'll meet some people from other countries aswell. Cool nightlife with nice bars and a few clubs. Be sure to bring your friends!

One thing that I can confirm is that...from the moment when I arrived in Rijeka, I have realized that this is a town where a woman can travel by herself, can have fun and enjoy the sightseeing of the town , without feeling threatened or mistreated at any point!...:-)

Interesting small place on the seacost...

Beautiful town on the sea that has changed hands with every empire in the Adriatic; from a neolithic settlement to being ruled by Greece, Rome, Byzantine, Slavs, Franks, Veniatians, Pisans, Genoese, Hapsburgs, French, Austrians, Italians (pre-WWI), and was administered by the UN until being united with communist Yugoslavia. You can find every imaginable type of architecture from a well preserved Roman arena to an unbelievable futurist post-office that is made from hundreds of thousands of mini red tiles. Pula is well worth a few days visit.
