At the coast of Ecuador, the perfect place to go of to 'Isla del Plata'. The nightlife there is also nice if you like a drink in a bar. Very closeby is a superbe surfspot.

Beach resort in Ecuador. Probably not the most exciting or cleanest beach in the world, but it is very cheap. Try to get one of the beach front hotels....they are the cleanest, have the best food, view, at a good price.

Perfection. Gorgeous beach. Great food, great shopping. Look for the bar with the swings for seats.

Esmeraldas is a fun beach city in Ecuador. The food there is amazing, especially the "empanadas de verde". Be careful not to eat off the street vendors if you have a weak stomach! All kinds of clubs open at night right on the sandy beach-music, dancing, people drinks.

To get here you can take a plane to Manta ($130 roundtrip from Quito, 30 minute flight) or a bus to Manta or Bahia de Caraquez ($10 or 12, 7 or 8 hours), then a taxi to Bahia de Caraquez ($35, 1 1/2 hours) if you arrived to Manta by plane or bus, the taxi will drop you off at the place (a small dock) where you take a boat to San Vicente ($0.30, 10 minutes), and finally you can take a taxi ($4) or a bus ($0.30) or a bike taxi ($4) to go to Canoa (15 minutes). Complicated? haha... but it's totally worth it!!!

You can find lot's of small restaurants with pretty decent prices ($4 to $10 for a meal)... mainly seafood!!!
