Tampere is a nice small city in Finland. Good weather in the summer and the city is very accessible with good transportation. We stayed just outside the centre about 10 mins walk. The lake front area is re-furbished and has good cruise trips on the twin lakes that surround the city. Beware that it is not cheap but the nightlife is good, particularly if you like rock or heavy metal. Locals are very friendly.

Happytime pub is the best bar in town. it's nice and cosy livingroom whit great atmosphere.

Wear a lot of warm clothes and boose is expensive!

It has some of the beast beach bars I've seen in the whole of Finland and is also a famous sailing town. The place to be if you want to have a drink by the beach with an amazing view.

A lot of drinking going on in "Koppin" a place to interact with locals, and where woman travelers are always respected and welcome!!

Aurajoki ''Aura river'' is a must see !! At summer you can get tanned and get trunk with your friends at the same time! How cool is that ?? And winter time is just so pretty everywhere in Turku that you can just imagine what Aurajoki looks like! Exactly! Breath-taking:)
