    Versailles, Ile-de-France, France
Looking for a delicious indian restaurant ? ... find one in Versailles at a narrow distance from the palace, on "Rue des Etats Généraux", at "Golden Bengal". Delightful cooking (not too spicy) and very pleasant staff.

    Versailles, Ile-de-France, France
Well, what can I say about Versailles? It's all you imagine and even more. Most first time visitors are actually surprised by the sheer size of the famous chateau. But mind the sheer queues of endless human masses wriggling through the various gates. If you cannot stand the antiquities all around you, take a walk in the wonderful gardens. In the Summer, you can even take in a light and sound spectacle. As for eating and drinking in Versailles, just expect the usual rip offs: with a few exceptions (try the market place), you get average quality for far too high prices.

Take the train to Versaille castle while visiting Paris, it's fast and cheap and a huge place to see, the park is very suitable for a picnic! You should at least see Marie Antoinettes village and then the film to get a bigger picture of the kind of lifestyle ;)
