Off the beaten track for Americans, but if you live in Europe, or if you're looking for a base while traveling in southern France (from Carcassone or Toulouse in the west to Provence in the east, and all close to the Mediterrenean), it's a great place. For english-speakers, you'll find a reasonable number of people with at least a little english in the restaurants and stores (not common in the south) and two very good english book stores. There's an airport and a train station, as well.

Montpellier, ville tres ensoleillée, tres jeune et dynamique! Beaucoup de chose à faire et à visiter. J'allais là bas car j'avais une cousine qui y habitait. Super endroit pour sortir en soirées également !
