Omg, l'impression que tout les habitants de la planéte y vivent ! Enorme ville, port surchargé de monde, mais agréable.

Marseilles has seen better days, but remains an important transport hub, connecting en Provence (and France) with international shipping, trains, and flights. Lots of nightlife, and Marseilles and the rest of this region is known for its excellent bouillabaisse (seafood soup) cooked slow for days, but the city itself can be a bit grotty... I would go further east to Cassis (only 15-minute drive) where this quaint fishing town has beautiful beaches, day trips, history, fresh food and smaller hotels. A perfect romantic getaway!

Les Calanques are really beautiful and a great oportunity to exercise and have some fun, while traveling with friends.

you have to visit "parc boreli", beautiful to enjoy the sunshine! And if possible, watch a match of OM. An ambiance fantastic... even if it rains! But if you return by train, take care that you buy a sandwich before you go to the train station, otherwise you're gonna be lost...
