good old frence city and a nice place to go

Le vieux Lyon est très beau , avec des resto , la cathédrale St-Jean. le pont St Georges est super de soir.La croix rousse. la ville a beaucoup à nous offrir

Ville magnifique où j'ai travaillé pendant 2 ans!! Ville assez jeune et sympa tout de même!

Un incontournable : venir à Lyon pour le 8 décembre, le jour de la fête des lumières. La ville s'illumine pour remercier Marie de l'avoir sauvée de la peste.

Flâner aux quatre coins de la ville, et admirer.... Attention de veiller à bien s'habiller (il fait froid).

If you are going to visit Lyon, I recommend you teh Citadines Hotel at Rue Tomassin 2. It is at the cuty centre, it us really cheap and it is an appartment hotel. You can go anywhere on foot, without using any kind of transporttion!:)

Just the basic thing not to miss in 2/3 days:

The old town , "Vieux Lyon" on the west of the Saône is the greatest historical center from renaissance in France, and a hot place for night life (bars inside the old town, disco on the border of the Saone). It's a the place where easy people hang out at night Fourviere and the Roman amphitheatre: for a nice view on the city.
The "Presqu'ile ": the real city center of Lyon, between the Rhône and the Saône river with place bellecour and the less important but more beautifull place des Terreaux, the Opera, the Museum des Beaux Arts and the main streets such as Rue de la Republique. There is a bit of everything at night, posh and easy places to go.
Croix Rousse : The beaten heart of Lyon, even if now it is a bit slowing down, this quarter has a real personality and is interesting to visit.

if after all that you got some time to relax, just go to the Parc de la tete d'or, one of the biggest urban park in Europe, very nice, and with a wild zoo!

If you wanna go to Lyon which the second biggest city in France, I suggest you to come on 'la fete des lumieres' day (light festival) on 8th December. It came from the religious history in 1852 in Lyon, where all the Lyonnais light candles in their windows to celebrate the inauguration of the chosen statue for the religious symbol.
So, in that night of that date, Lyonnais place a lot of light in the city and people enjoying time outside.
