Beautiful, seasonal part of the world. Most Germans would live in Munich if they could according to a recent poll. Lot 's of religious, grand architecture, gardens and plenty of fun pubs including the world famous Hofbräuhaus. A great stop for an independent traveller on an ski tour.

Don't forget to visit the Royal palace and treasury museum!

I got lost for 9 hours after having too many pints of bier and not remembering the name of either my hostel or it's location. I finally remembered a train station nearby and luckily I knew the way from there, lol, in other words, know what train stations are near your hostel, you never know when you'll get lost.

If you're in Munich, you should really go to the 'Bavaria Film Studios'.
It doesn't cost too much, if you explore it on you're own.
But you can also take a guided tour (which isn't a good a idea, if you don't speak German).
Be sure that you watch a movie in the 3D-cinema - It's thrilling! :)

Bavarian beer Radler is great (mix of beer and lemonade) ... sorry I liked it. Try also prezzels, and for sure do not miss October Fest, beeing there just for a weekend I appreciated Englischer Garten with Chinese tower and lots of open air restaurants and places for pique-niques. If you are fun of climbing, go to DAV Kletterzentrum München.

Munich's world famous beer festival give you a good insight into the culture that revolves around beer in the region even if it's become quite cheesy and touristy.

when staing here or most european major cities, take the FREE tour, they are paid by tips so expect to be entertained!

to keep costs low but stay on top of the game, stay at the"Tent" its a little walk from the tram 17 turminal, that runs to and from the Hbf(trainstation) and it will be to your liking. I suggest extra blankets cause its a big place w. lotsa ppl around, so keep warm and keep your stuff locked up in the lockers they provide. its a mere 20 euro night for 3 nights and got free shower/bath/laundry room, and got wifi for free. 2 computers in the caffeteria for you to use, 50c per half hour, i believe.
they also have a kitchen for you to use to make your own food.
gave it a 5 of 5 because it was clean and the ppl working wer helpful and nice. Hope to travel to here again and visit this place for my duration.
