Good Airport, big city, nice trainstation

Munich, the epitomy of a clean, tidy, organised German city. Beautiful, with majestic buildings, clean streets, No traffic, just bikes! Everybody can cheaply rent a municipal bike from a certain stand in the city and pedal his way to his/her destination. Than he/she just locks the bike for the next person who might need it. Perfect! And the Opera! It' s beauty- and the performances- brought tears to my eyes- literally. The best "Corsaire" I 've ever seen, the same goes for Bellini' s "Norma". Pure magic, heaven on earth, spiritual orgasm!

Use public transportation rather than your car. Especially during rush hours, traffic is terrible.

Munich is the most beautiful and the safest city in Europe.

Don't miss to visit Marienplatz with Frauenkirche,Königsplatz, Ludwigstrasse und Leopoldstrasse with Karlstor and University of Ludwig Maximilian, Old and New Pinakothek, New town hall, Viktualienmarkt, famous Maximilianstrasse,Residenz palace, National theatre,Haus der Kunst,Nymphenburg palace,Deutsches museum with flight exhibition centre, English Garden ( Park ),Biergarten at Viktualienmarkt,Olympiapark, Hofbrauhaus or Oktoberfest ( from cca 20.th of Sept.- cca 5.th of October). Don't forget to taste famous Munich beers like: Augustiner, Hofbrau, Paulaner,Loewenbrau etc. You can shop wherever you want: from the cheppest places at Marienplatz till the most expensive Maximilianstrasse. Use public transport, the best is subway, verry good connected . To relax, you can go to the Wellness Centre called Therme Erding, near the airport! Enjoy

Probably the nicest overall city in Europe! Clean, friendly people, very cultured, good food, superb transit system, safe, excellent night life, good sports accomodations and many options to watch live sports games (Bayern München, 1860 München, the Munich ice hockey team, etc. Tips for those interested in culture: Deutsches Museum, Alte und Neue Pinakothek, Die Residenz, ... For those who enjoy the nightlife and like clubbing: go to Kultfabrik at München Ostbahnhof: plenty of clubs there, you name your favorite kind of music or nightclub, they have it!!! For those who like a stroll: knock yourselves out im Englischen Garten: enjoy the nature and make sure you don't get lost, for it's a huge park (probably one of the largest urban parks in Europe). Munich is, even more so than Berlin, a must see!!!

If you are visiting the Oktoberfest, be careful on your way back to your city because the trains will be totally full, to the point of needing to stay standing till you reach somewhere outside Bayern

If you a big drinker like me you should come heir right after brussels or your liver mite not make it!Go state two the beer gardens to find people.The hostals right in front of the train station have a kick ass night life!!!
