Take time to explore the Altstadt on foot, but leave the car well outside the city centre. Mind the trams when you are walking around, they seem to appear from everywhere!. There is an ancient statue in the city centre, called Roland. Touch his foot for good luck.

Being in Bremen, try to visit the city while walking. Go to the Bremen Museum, look for the oldest bar and famous Musicans from Bremen- the four animals that decided to start playing music :)

Bremen, what can I say? Everyone's heard the story of the Bremen town musicians, right? It's a small German town that made me smile while I was there. Nice shops and just a nice town.

If you want to meet students and alternative people, visit the "Viertel" (formally known as Steintor/Ostertor ) at Bremen. This part of the town has many bars and restaurants and at daytime many shops, boutiques and places to drink coffee or eat something.

If you ever go to Bremen, you must go to the Schnoor in the city centre. Small, narrow alley ways filled with restaurants and a particularly good Irish bar
