For a true bargain and dynamite food, head to Thanasis in Monastiraki on Plateia Avissynias for kebabs or to The Food Company also in Kolonaki on Agannostopoula at the intersection with Dimokritou for salads, greek specialties with a twist and some of the best baked goods you will find in Athens.

the best place in athens for food is manastiraki plaka and psiri....they have greek food..taverns...and they are next to the acropoli which is the famoust ancient monument....for nightlife i sould recommend Viila Mercedes...or Glufada(south athens)

You must have a Souvlaki in Plaza Sintagma. And do not miss an oportunity to have a greek salad. Their tomates are the tastiest ones.
