A beautiful mix of old and new in a city located next to the sea.

Don't be fooled by the gypsies in this city...they are more crafty here than other places and it's easy to get duped...

what a silly thing to say..gipsys are everywhere all around the world (that's why they called GIPSYS) and no crafty than anywhere else..shame on you..you must be complitely fool to be duped by any person no more than a gipsy..you are such a racist...

second largest city in Greece. vibrant city with nice night life and coffee culture. it used to be one of the most important cities of the byzantine empire.A lot of monuments from that era still exist. worthwhile the visit. easy access to other surrounding areas (e.g. halkidiki, towns of northern greece, balkan countries) some monuments to see: lefkos pirgos, kastra for fun: ladadika area, plateia navarinou, kalamaria, renovated area after the central port

don't forget to visit old town at the hill. beautifull views, you will feel like in small greek village.

chatzis is the greatest pastry shop in north greece! try local sweets as: kazantipi, baklavas or ekmek.

the city is verry sweet.. verry nice peaple lots of small bars all of them cind of lounge paradie at the sea! chek the store underground in the center of the city.. santa maria street.

Tolle Stadt, immer eine Reise wert! Kann ich nur empfehlen.
