Central District, Hong Kong (SAR)
Ahh, THE Hong Kong experience. Though Hong Kong can be a bit hazy, it’s still worth it to head up to the Peak to get a panoramic view of the city. It’s not the tallest point in HK, but the new multi-story tall observation tower bumps up the viewing height a few more hundred metres. There’s an extra fee of $20HKD to get up to the observation tower beyond the cost of the tram ride, but definitely you get a better view. It’s a totally different experience at night so you may want to factor in two visits – or failing that, I’d more recommend going at night than during the day. If you have plenty of time, allow enough time to go on some of the peak trails that weave around the mountain top. Some of the circuits can take a few hours to complete.

Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong (SAR)
I remember taking this ferry when I was younger with my grandmother, and it was a great experience to ride the ferry again. This is like a HK institution. The Ferry goes from Tsim Sha Tsui over to Central or vice versa, and the whole ride is pretty quick. You get a great view of the harbour from both ends and sure beats sitting underground in the metro. Highly recommended to try at least once –more so if you’re staying at the Marco Polo hotel as it lets out right outside the hotel :p

Kowloon, Hong Kong (SAR)
Kowloon, though designated as THE tourist destination in Hong Kong, is definitely the bargain-shopping haven all avid shoppers will love to be in. Be sure to have lots of HK$ to spend of fashion; it's their mainstay, with clothing shops littered all over the place. Boutique shops are also worth a mention, as their prices are definitely cheaper compared to those in many other cities.

So many things to do, and while they are very "touristy" a trip to Victoria's Peak and on the Star Ferry across the harbor are musts.
