There's a lot to see...

Budapest is wonderful place. If you are looking for peaceful spots - got to Margaret's Sziget (read: Siget = Island), worth seeing is Japanese and Rose Garden The most famous Street in Budapest is Vaci Utca - you can find there masterpieces of human originality and individuality, in the evenings - the street is bursting with life - be careful of being invited to clubs by their doormen - looking at least devilishly ;) You absolutely must see this carnival of people's variety (DragQueens, Lesbians, Gays, street actors) If you are looking for rest - go to Szechenyi Furdo (Baths)!! Amazing hot water pools in 19th century yard... magnificient!! Budapest, however, in my opinion is very dirty and unpleasant at Underground Stations - but you cannot miss going the oldest in Europe Yellow Line Metro!

One of the absolute most beautiful cities I've ever visited. I fell in love with it the moment I got there - recommending the Pest side, it's the oldest, with most charm and best deals (you can buy the most delicious yoghurt icecream for nothing!)

Budapest my lovely city. My big love...!!!its sooo beautiful, amazing, mysterious, and lovely city...I have no expressions do describe that city!!!i love it!!!

A gorgeous city, reminiscent of Paris and other beauties, especially at night. Take your time and explore the mountains and be prepared for a sight like no other. Just gorgeous.

Go to the Sziget festival! It's one of the biggest festival in europe with over 50 places to listen to music!

Spend loads of time on the river that divides Budapest into Buda and Pest... its beautiful and scenic... go to a traditional Goulash joint for a slurp on earthy Hungarian soup... catch a concert if you can, they are many good ones always happening in Budapest... and, yes, be very careful in Budapest's Keleti train station... the Russian and Yugolslav mafia operates there... the standard trick is for someone to distract your attention as you wait for your train, while another quickly disappears with your stuff... this at least was so when I went a few years ago... my daypack was stolen this way... emptied of valuables and cash... and, surprise surprise, brought to me by a policeman as I waited to file a complaint... without having described it to them yet....i.e. the station police work in collusion with the gangs, some locals say....
