(0) Delhi, Delhi & Surrounding Region, India at the airport get a pre-paid taxi to phar-ganj, which is the main-bazar. it is located right on the new delhi railway station, so u can't miss it, there u will find food and accomodation. travel plans are easy to arange here. i prefer the hary-rama, just because i'm old-fasion, but sometimes the taxi drivers insist of knowing to which hotel u wish to go, its an easy name to rememebr, and a good place to get off the cab in delhi. good luck, u're gonna need it... (0) New Delhi, Delhi & Surrounding Region, India it's hard to give tips on getting around in new delhi because the minute you step out of the station you're surrounded by all kinds of taxidrivers. it's very hard to shake 'em of and choose your own path. For those not wanting to spend so much, a GREAT option is The AUROBINDO ASHRAM....tell ricksaw or taxi to take you to Aurobindo Marg (address). For foreigners the accomodation is great - good, clean rooms, meals included in price and the Meditation Hall is so peaceful. It's better to contact them in advance but I found a room in February which is their busy time without having contacted them. Good tip?
