Tel Aviv, Tel Aviv & Surrounds, Israel
The best and cheapest way to get from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem or vice versa, is with the multiple person taxis that run between the two cities. It is convenient since you just pile in and wait for the taxi to fill up to the point where the driver feels he has enough passengers and off you go. Just DO NOT expect to carry a huge backback or any suitcases with you. This is a commuter taxi, not a luggage transportation service!

Ramat HaSharon, Tel Aviv & Surrounds, Israel
Rich city, not much to do there... Nice night life on weekends, kiosks are open at night during weekends. The main streets are short so you can walk around 20 minutes and you're done exploring.

Tel Aviv is a great city no matter who you are and what you want to do. It's hot and sunny, has a nice beach and a long, nice market that leads to it! Get fresh fruit, orange juice, your own jewish clothing or just tacky souverirs. Appareantly there's an excellent night life (haven't experiences it though) and it's nice just walking home in the middle of the night when the soft yellow lights hanging over the streets. Mm. It's not hard finding good food and if you feel like it - hop on a bus and go to Jerusalem, it only takes a couple of hours!

Très belle ville, malgré les tirs, on avait pas le droit d'aller dans les quartiers arabes, mais bon.

Best mean of transportation in Tel Aviv: Walk!

One of the biggest advantages of Tel Aviv is that although it offers all the excitements of a big city, it is actually quite small. Especially if you are staying in one of the beach area hotels, everything from Jaffa in the south to the pubs in the north of Hayarkon street is a walking distance away. So take advantage of the nice weather almost all year round and of the friendly atmosphere in the streets, and just walk!
