    Sarzana, Liguria Region, Italy
Sarzana is a very nice place to travel to. I ahve been there in August for a Week, when in Italy it is Summer Holiday. During this period there are loads of things to do there and many activities take place there. Some local Festivals (SAGRA) in the smaller villages up in the mountians where it is still possible to eat out on the main square with stunning views over the Sea and good typical food. In Sarzana there is antique Fair in the Streets and also some kind of art exhibition and painters working under your eyes. All Restauranrs are pretty good there! Farinata (a kind of bread) is good and the Fish is delicious there! The City of Sarzana itself is very coosy and there is a nice small fortified Castle in the Center that si worth a visit.

    Genova, Liguria Region, Italy
It seems to be the city with the huge historical center. Actually, may be not, but it is such a terrific city! The central church is beatiful, and the small streets hide surprises (in both senses). The sea view is very nice, except for the port. You can eat everywhere the speciality: spaghetti al pesto, with the Ligurian basilic. You must taste it!

    Albenga, Liguria Region, Italy
Albenga is a nice coastal town in Liguria, because of its mostly stony beaches a bit less touristy than the close Alassio. Nice historical town center, with some good restaurants (Hosteria Sutta Ca).
