NOT TO MISS: The Last Supper painted by Leonardo da Vinci at the Santa Maria delle Grazie church http://milan.arounder.com/da_vinci_last_supper/ Good tip? (0) Milano, Lombardy Region, Italy Head up to roof of Il Duomo for great views of the Alps (on a clear day). Definitely worth the few euros. Good tip? (0) Milano, Lombardy Region, Italy Be sure to venture out of the main tourist area, as just beyond the centre one way and the gardens the other there are some really amazing bars, restaurants and shops. They're much cheaper and have a much better atmosphere with mostly locals. Although the designer labels are all within the main square there are some amazing boutiques with gorgeous one off pieces at half the price! If staying the opposite side of the gardens to the centre (as we were) be aware that the gates to the park are locked after about 11pm and it's a very long walk in the dark when you can't cut through and there were some very shady characters hanging around. Good tip? (0) Milano, Lombardy Region, Italy Church Santa Maria delle Grazie.
You can see the painting ''Last Supper'' by Leonardo Da Vinci there. Good tip? (0) Milano, Lombardy Region, Italy As long as it is still possible, make sure to visit the painting "The last Supper". We went early in the morning, on the first excursion and it was not crowded at all. Good tip? (0) Milano, Lombardy Region, Italy If you visit in the winter, the weather is cold and sleet-like. If you visit in the summer (end of May through September-ish), be prepared for sweltering heat and high humidity and monstrous mosquitoes. Best travel months are April and May, and end of September and October, weather-wise. See the Duomo while you are there, but more importantly, take the elevator/steps to the roof and walk around on top. The views and architecture are breath-taking. Also, see Cimetero Monumentale (I think I spelled that correctly.). It's a cemetary, but the gravestones are these elaborate and riveting sculptures. Good tip? (0) Milano, Lombardy Region, Italy nice shops and good food, were else would you take a women for a weekend away!?! Good tip? (0) Milano, Lombardy Region, Italy Inoubliable hein... Italiaaa ... Normal Good tip? (0) Milano, Lombardy Region, Italy milan is the best! just fucking GO!!!
