CoCo's should be the first place you go. Okinawa is home to the nicest people in the world. I will be back Okinawa.

Okinawans don't call themselves Japanese; they consider themselves Okinawans. Also, very hard to find someone that openly speaks English

Okinawa to me is like the Asian Hawaii. The weather seems to be either hot or raining. The cliffs out there are ridculously beautiful. I did bananaboating, canoeing, and jet sking in the ocean...so much fun. The water was clear enough for me to brave to go out there and enjoy it. And I have to say I am loving Coco's. (that was my favorite place to eat.)

WHen visiting Okinawa, be sure to refer to the locals there as Okinawan becuase some people get offended. Most Americans don't understand until they know some of Okinawa's history. The Okinawans greet people when they enter stores so be sure to always be friendly. Here are a few phrases: Arigato- Ga Zaimas-- Thank You very much Doy- E-tashi mashte- Your welcomed Ohio Gaziamas- Good morning Konichiwa- Good Afternoon Konbanwe- Good Evening

Okinawa is a small island but possibly the cleanest in all of south east asia. Charumi aquarium is the only location in the world with live captive whale sharks its an amazing majestic sight. Okinawa is also where habu sake originates. The locals are polite but dislike forigners (especially americans) more so than other places in japan.

CoCo ICHIBANYA is a common Japanese curry restaurant you will see all over the island. They have menu's in Japanese, English, Chinese, Korean, Russian, and Arabic and a very large selection of delicious curry toppings to choose from. If you've never had curry before I suggest you try it, I've loved it since the first time I had it.

Prices range from 500 or so yen to infinity since you can order literally any combination of toppings in any quantity you want.

Allot to see on this island, if you are a water recreation type of person go and explore the life under the water. Pay a visit to the aquarium, pineapple winery, Okinawa World its a most see.
