Wadi Musa, Jordan One of the molst beautiful site I've ever seen. Don't hesitate to go of track and climb. You could easily spend several days in the site, and come back as new items are found regularly. Good tip? (0) Wadi Musa, Jordan When passing Wadi Musa, be sure to look fast, as it goes by quickly (if you are just driving by). If you are the one driving, stop and take a look- this is NOT a road you want to take your eyes off of; just look at the cars all on the bottom of the ravines as proof!! Good tip? (0) Wadi Musa, Jordan Valentine's Inn is quite cheap ( 15 JD for a double room with bathroom and AC, clean), organises trips to petra, wadi rumm and transport for many other jordanian destinations. provides breakfast/dinner for an acceptable 4 JD per person (food is really good). Nice patio, backpackers from all over the world, comfortable location - I can truly recommend this place. Good tip? (0) Wadi Musa, Jordan One of the new 7 world wonders... very nice. If you have the chance visit Little Petra too Good tip? (0) Wadi Musa, Jordan If you have ever watched Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade or Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen you have seen some of the sights of Petra, a city carved from the face of the red rocks in the dessert, conquered by the Romans forgotten by westerners and rediscovered in 1812 only to in 2007 be named one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.
If you are in Jordan or in Israel and have a few days to spend make sure to give Petra two days; you will not find a place like it anywhere.
Spend a day just walking through the valley and enjoy the Nabatean caves, the magnificent amphitheatre, the Byzantine church and the roman temple and street. Linger ate and watch how al Kazhne is lit by candles.
If you are short of time walk the long way to El Deir (the Monastery) rather than visiting the high place of sacrifice. And unless you are on a shoe string budget; get a guide so you do not miss the small details all around you. Good tip? (0) Wadi Musa, Jordan Beware! The price for entering the area of Petra, is outrageous! 90 US$ or more pr. person. A complete rip off. But with that said, it's still a great place to go. And it's not too crowded around the main palace. If your in shape, why not go on a long hike to the hills around Petra? They offer a fantastic view of the countryside. Good tip? (0)
