Amman, Amman Region, Jordan Not far from Amman you have the Dead Sea which is well worth a visit. After a day of sightseeing in the region (Madaba or Mt Nebo in the South, Salt to the West or Jerash and Ajloun in the North, the lowest place on earth is a good place to relax. Experience the bisarre feeling of floating, but don't drink the water... ;) Good tip? (0) Al 'Aqabah, Amman Region, Jordan It is possible to cross the border between Israel and Jordan in AQABAH. From there it is possible to go by bus to PETRA. Good tip? (0) Wadi Musa, Jordan One of the molst beautiful site I've ever seen. Don't hesitate to go of track and climb. You could easily spend several days in the site, and come back as new items are found regularly. Good tip? Grote Westerse Hotels genoeg in aanbieding. Good tip? (0) Amman, Amman Region, Jordan Jordanian people are so friendly and welcoming. We spent hours walking around seeing the ancient ruins. We left here and moved on to Petra. Good tip? (0) Amman, Amman Region, Jordan A rather crowded and messy city by itself but a very convenient base for attractions not just in Jordan but also in nearby Syria, Lebanon and Israel... and a major air hub for Middle East... a swim in the Dead Sea is possible from the Jordanian side too (the Israeli side is more famous) if you take a cab from Amman and ask the driver to take you to it...shared cabs are a good option in Amman for heading to Lebanon or Syria... Good tip? (0) Jarash, Jordan ITS AMAZING!!!!! Make sure you see the Temple of Artimus. A tour guide really helps get you to the places you should see, but some people in the ruins will begin to give you a tour expecting money at the end. Many times these "tour guides" are children, and the tours are illegal because they aren't certified tour guides and the tourist police will kick them out. Good tip? (0) Madaba, Jordan Just see it twice: day and sunset! The view will impress you! Good tip? (0) At Tafilah, Jordan The landscape is extraordinary! Make sure to hike in Dana reserved region. People are very friendly. Wear modest and remember ... in Rome do as Romans do. Good tip? (0) Wadi Rum, Jordan Wadi Rum is a fabulous place to travel through. It has huge rock formations that look prehistoric. If you are into unusual landscapes, then this place is for you. You can drive around it in a 4X4 for a great experience. Good tip? (0) |
