Diekirch has some great historical sites. As a central place in the Battle of the Bulge it has a war museum. Besides it's the place where Diekirch beer is brewed!

Vianden is a small city with a lovely castle. It has some sweet hotels as well as a youth hostel. Although very touristic it's must seen place in Luxemburg

Diekirch is in the north of Luxembourg and is famous among tourists and locals alike. Home to the "huge" Luxembourg army (LOL), it has an army museum (how come?) and played a role in the Battle of the Ardennes in WWII. The locals are called donkeys from Diekirch due to a bronze statue of a donkey in the city center and because, as they say themselves, they have large ears (see by sourself!)

Great little village in the hart of Luxembourg. Very nice to plan walks from and also great castle to visit!

Vianden is a nice small town in Luxemburg. You can visit the castle up the hill or take a walk through the village. The is also a small river which is suitable to swim, also for kids!

Vianden has one of the most beautiful monuments of Europe : his Medieval castle. Mid August (the weekend around August 15), there is every year at the castle a sound light show with fireworks. You can find around the entire village of Vianden a certain Medieval atmosphere. The locals are dressed in medieval costumes and you can have a look at the crafts during that period!

The castle in Vianden is definitely worth a visit!
