Amazing! I loved living there for 3 years! I would go back just to be on the beach and hang out with my friends.

Even though much of Malaysia seems very westernized, Kula Terengganu is not. I flew in unexpected (clients didn't know) and there were no phones and no one spoke english. My Bahasa is very limited (I can order food, that is about it). One of the Airport Engineers noticed my pathetic attempts at Bahasa and helped me by using his cell phone and then taking me to my hotel! He was very nice, bought me coffee and wondered if all US women were like Sex and the City. I met up with the gentelmen and his wife a day later, they were wonderful people.

Famous for the beaches. But some beaches are not safe to swim.Quite a lonely city, I think.

Pack light. Enjoy all the local delights. Cause it's truly delicious!! Try their famous keropok losong and keropok lekor. For those with alot of cash to spare,they have authentic and original Batik, Songket to die for!! Friendly locals,serene atmosphere, you will never want to leave the place!
