Veracruz one of the greatest Historic Horbour of Mexico has a great Gastronomy, you can't stay at Veracruz and don't forget trying with the Fish a la Veracruzana great dish with Tomatoe, olive, Chile Ancho, Onion basically, then you need to go to the jetty and drink a Coffe in "La Parroquia" it's delicious, well and don't forget the night life it's great to dance caribbean music

There are some awesome hotels in Veracruz like Fiesta Inn, Fiesta Americana and others. For nightlife some of the greatest clubs are La Bartola, La Casona, Viktor Hotel and there are some others.

Stay at Hotel Imperial on the main central square/plaza. It is really cheap but very nice, perfect location (though loud because of location- there are celebrations all night long on the weekends), and has a nice staff. You can walk to the port area from there as well as several other touristy spots. Veracruz is awesome!
