Great Night life as well as day life. Lots to see. Mabye not for the kids.

From the great wheel you can see the citty top to bottom, the buildings are amazing, but it is too modern...everything made of glass and it looks strange next to the small villages arround it.

The panenkoekenboet is well worth the trip! All you can eat pancakes while cruising the Rotterdam harbour. Great for the kids, they have a ball pit in the hull of the boat too.

This is my hometown. I really enjoy living here together with my misses. However for tourist it might be hard to find there way around. I think there are not enough english sign, but luckly enough most of the dutch speak good english. Pubs are ok, but different from Amsterdam. Dont come to Rotterdam if you are in the Netherlands for drugs and red-light. We still have the drugs but its not as crazy as Amsterdam.

Have a drink in the old port, just below the cube tree houses, at places like Cambrinus and Plan C

A nice movie theater there

If you are going to Ahoy, when you arrive on the Train take the Metro to the Zuidplein exit. and Ahoy is right there.

Get a Watertaxi from the center to Hotel New York to have dinner!

rotterdam, bombed by the germans, the city had to be built up from scratch hence modern architecture and interesting designs working city of the NL with the harbour as symbol
