De Abrikoos in Delfshaven is a very nice tapas-restaurant and a perfect place to meet up with a whole group of friends. The atmosphere is nice, the food great and the location (in the historic inner harbour of Rotterdam) is very nostalgic.

for a great english breakfast and all english speaking staff, you go to 'o sheas, irish pub. I'ts situated at the beginning of the lijnbaan ( the side of the train station)

in the middle of the park ( that is also just called "the park") stands a big tower where you can go up and see all over the city. Its open until 10 in the evening so if you've got the chance, go a little late en take a look at the beuatiful skyline

if you are walking arround the city center and just want something to eat or drink from a supermarket you can just ask anyone where the "albert heijn" is :) it's not the most cheap supermarket but they are practically everywhere

Take a small boat from Veerhaven to Hotel NewYork and have a great lunch at this former hall where people left with a boat to New York

For everyone who likes garlic... Have dinner at Restaurant Look! (garlic) at 's Gravendijkwal 140b. The best garlic dishes from southern France, Spain and Italy. The menu changes with the seasons.
