A dish-washer with an entrepreneurial mindset decided to open his own restaurant and borrowed money from his boss. Now Bazaar is a fun place to eat at, with affordable dishes and a nice middle-eastern atmosphere. The place also serves as a hotel where each room is unique and different from the others. Located on Witte de Wittstraat, Rotterdam.

The modern-myth says that there was a kebab owner that started making a special dish for those waiting for a haircut in the nearest hair saloon, but the word for the hairdresser's in dutch is Kapsalon. The dish is served in an aluminum trey. It consists of showarma meat (or chicken) on a bed of French fries, topped with a lot of garlic sauce and/or hot chili sauce and cheese, baked in an oven and then served with iceberg salad on top. This is considered a must try, especially after a rough night down town and only costs about 4 euros.

Bazar Witte de Withstraat 16 a nice hotel and also a good restaurant! the people who work there are realy nice.

It has two decent shopping centers. One is called "Koperwiek" and is located opposite to the Town Hall, and the other one is called "De Terp" and is located a few miles further up.

Also the Near the center on the "Capelse Weg" there is a great restaurant called "Bella Beer" + a McDonalds close to that for fast food needs.

Rottendam is easy to access by train. Hotels are in the city centre and around the train station. We found the Hilton Hotel was the best price, best location in the city mall area next to restaurants and shops. The needle down near the biggest shipping harbour in the world was offers an interesting view. Only stayed one night but saw enough. Clean city and seemed quiet safe as well.

De Abrikoos in Delfshaven is a very nice tapas-restaurant and a perfect place to meet up with a whole group of friends. The atmosphere is nice, the food great and the location (in the historic inner harbour of Rotterdam) is very nostalgic.
