i found grumpy mole a good place for a few beers and a game of pool after a good day in town! the hot pools outside rotorua is wonderful a good way to kick back and relax! visit the lake front and the park! the smell is well like rotten eggs but you'l get used to it in a couple of days!

Really nice. Would definately reccomend The Luge as its great fun! Lots of restuarants but not very many bars. Ali babs does a nice kebab, you can actually get doner meat in there which is very rare in NZ! Accomodaton ranges from cheap motels with free wireless to standard 3 stars and then 4 and 5 star luxury hotels locate by the lake. The lake is formed from a crater ane there is a small volcanic island in the middle, very pretty :-)
