    Sagres, The Algrave Region, Portugal
The south west tip of Europe! Excellent view from the gigantic cliffs descending into the sea by the lighthouse. One of the most beautiful spots in Portugal. Also excellent sand beaches in the area

If you turf left behind the soccerfield and just follow the street, you'll pass a spot where you can turn right and just to strait after. You end up on top af a amazing cliff, from where you see couple of beaches. Must do

    Sagres, The Algrave Region, Portugal
Go and see the outer edge of the cliff at Cabo de San Vicente. It's very impressive, and at the crossing of the Atlantic and the Mediterranean.

    Sagres, The Algrave Region, Portugal
If you're in the area, get out to Cabo de Saint Vicente and watch the sun set by the lighthouse. From the point, there is nothing for thousands of miles until you get to the Americas.

    Sagres, The Algrave Region, Portugal
6 km from Sagres is "the end of the world" - the cape of st. Vincent. It's the end of Europe, you can't go any further. It's about 3500 km of water till you reach the North America :) Have good shoes (because there are rocks everywhere) and a bottle of wine and some snacks (it's one of the best places to have a picknick).
Be careful that you wouldn't miss the bus to the Sagres centre because it goes really rarely (2-3 times a day) and don't trust timetables very much.
In the middle of the cape of st. Vincent and Sagres is a fortress which is a big attraction too. Sagres is not a big town so it's good to stay for travellers who like nice views but are not enjoying big crowds of tourists. In the end of the main street (you will understand it - it's kinda the only one normal street) you'll find a nice view - a small harbour of fishermen where you can watch all fishing activities closely :)
This area is one of my favorite ones in Europe. Nature here is stunning.
