The library is simply amazing, with 500 year old books, and a colony of bats living in it's walls, that were moved in to eat the insects that would otherwise harm the books!

Coimbra is the student-city of Portugal. Make sure to check out the ridiculously cheap shots: 2 euros a shot, 5 euros for 7 shots. Definitely check out the bars by the river, they are absolutely lovely!

Go visit Conimbriga, the old Roman City, very well preserved. Don't forget to put the water games functioning inserting a coin. Very good restaurant with typical food inside the Museum.
